Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016!

Happy New Year!

Ok, ok, we realise we’re a little late on the whole “pinch, punch start of the month!” malarkey but as we near the end of January we want to fill you in on what we got up to over the Christmas period here at Webb Associates…

As the ‘most wonderful time of the year’, we sure did get into the festive swing of things back in December! Our specially-appointed Christmas elves Sophie, Chloe and Beth did a brill job of sprucing up our office with the obligatory tinsel and twinkly lights and in traditional Webb Associates fashion, everyone received a yummy advent calendar from the bosses (cheers Rob and Jane!) to help count down the days ‘til the big guy slipped down our chimneys.

December also means many fun-filled festive outings with our clients to celebrate everyone’s hard work over the last year and it’s always great to catch up for a tipple or two. Naturally, this often means many sore heads in the morning – but it’s worth it!

For our very own works do we decided to indulge in bit of light-hearted competitiveness by splitting into teams for a cocktail making contest, and it was ‘The Fruitcakes’ (aka Rob, Amy, Sian, Jax and Becks) who came out on top thanks to Amy’s delicious espresso martini recipe which went down a treat!

Meanwhile the ‘Pigs In Blankets’ (Jenny, Jo, Claire and Beth) came up with a hilarious accents guessing game that got everyone talking …literally! From Paul’s very best Scottish impression to Jane’s one-of-a-kind take on the Welsh lilt, this game would make for a great icebreaker if you ever need one.

And not forgetting the highlight for many – Ed’s now famous and much-anticipated Christmas quiz. As Head of Content, some would say Ed is the only man for the job so it comes as no surprise that yet again he rose to the challenge and didn’t disappoint. This year’s crown went to ‘Chloe’s Copycats’ (Chloe, Rachel and Alex) – an achievement to be very proud of here at Webb!

We rounded off our Christmas party with a lovely meal at Bistro Live! in Leicester and by the end of the night we were all dancing on the tables – Rob included! If you’ve never been here before and you like good grub and a boogie, we highly recommend it.

So there you have it, a round-up of what we got up to over the festive period! Apologies it’s taken slightly longer than expected to fill you in but we’re sure you’ve all been just as busy with your own Christmas and New Year shenanigans!

We’d just like to say a massive thank you once again to all of our clients for helping make 2015 such a fantastic year for us. Here’s to an even better one in 2016!
